SIRIN Development plans expansion of logistics park near Riga Airport
Logistics real estate developer “SIRIN Development” plans significant investments in the areas adjacent to Riga Airport in the coming years.
It has also been decided to rename the logistics park near the airport from “SIRIN Park Mārupe” to “SIRIN Park Airport.”
In the first half of the year, it is planned to fully complete the ongoing construction works of the second phase of “SIRIN Park Airport” and to build a second warehouse building, resulting in more than doubling the warehouse space to nearly 60,000 square meters.
Edvinas Navickas, Head of Business Development at “SIRIN Development,” says: “In 2027, we plan to begin the third phase of the park’s expansion, marking the next significant step in the long-term development of ‘SIRIN Park Airport.’ On an area of nearly 22 hectares, we plan to build high-class logistics warehouses and business service facilities. This will allow us to further strengthen ‘SIRIN Park Airport’ as a strategic logistics and transportation hub. The quality and scale of the logistics park will offer partners a new type of modern logistics ecosystem that is competitive at the European level.”
All new buildings in “SIRIN PARK AIRPORT” will be constructed in accordance with the highest sustainability and efficiency standards. The new warehouses will have a height of 12 meters, significantly increasing storage capacity and providing additional competitive and energy efficiency advantages. BREEAM certification and an A++ energy efficiency class will ensure low maintenance costs and environmentally friendly solutions.
The first phase of “SIRIN Park Airport” was opened in March 2025. During this phase, warehouses covering 27,000 square meters were built, with total investments reaching 20 million euros.
Overall, “SIRIN Development” manages 11 logistics parks across the Baltic states: three in Riga (including the under-construction “SIRIN Park Dreiliņi”), three in Vilnius, three in Kaunas, and two in Tallinn. According to the company’s development plans, it aims to invest 85 million euros in the Baltic countries this year, constructing 127,000 square meters of logistics buildings in Riga, Vilnius, Kaunas, and Tallinn. Approximately 43% of the planned investment portfolio will be allocated to Lithuania, 40% to Latvia, and 17% to Estonia.
